Now you have read what we are all about, let's tell you how it actually works.
PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS BEFORE APPLYING so you know what's expected.
We really don't want to have to repeat ourselves to a bunch of blokes because they've not read the instructions properly hehehe :-)
Basically a bunch of you guys are going to get on stage dressed as women!
There will be 3 rounds in each pageant, themes/styles will be advised in the pageant info on the Events page.
There will be a panel of judges who will mark you on your stage presence, outfits, makeup, hair, walk etc. for each round.
We love creativity and outfits or accessories that are custom made by you will always score points.
Remember, this is DRAG! You can never be too flamboyant or sparkly! More is More!
You Must Be Over 18 years of age to enter.
You will need to be at the venue several hours before the event for rehearsals and getting ready. Plese make sure you are available fo the whole day. Timings will be confirmed nearer the date.
Entry fee is £50 per contestant, this is NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstances so please ensure you are available before entering, this is due to the costs involved in putting on an event like this. This DOES NOT need to be paid at this stage, it will be payable within 4 weeks from the date you are accepted as a contestant. Full details will be sent in your confirmation email.
You are also required to raise money yourself towards the charity, whether you do a street collection dressed in drag, get your mates to pay to sponge you, get friends and family to sponsor you to do the event, ask a local business to sponsor you in return for you promoting them or doing some work for them or any other (legal) way you choose. £50 is the minimum we expect but we think a minimum of £100 is easily achievable. There is a prize for Miss Charity.
Please bare in mind that with the amount of applications we receive, we need to choose who gets accepted to participate, our choices will be made from your initial application and from a questionnaire that we will email you once we receive your entry.
Rosettes will be given for various titles/awards - Everyone will be recognised for their efforts
There will be Sashes and mini crowns for 2nd and 3rd Place
The winner will go away with the events prestigious 1st Place Title, a Beautiful Sash, £100 cash, A bottle of Fizz and a stunning, diamante crown to adhorn your Queen status.
